Laser Scanning
Often known as High-Definition Surveying (HDS) or Terrestrial LiDAR, Laser Scanning is a cutting-edge technology that enables the remote collection of large volumes of precise data—data that would typically be challenging, unsafe, or impossible to gather through traditional surveying methods. Laser Scanning offers a safe alternative for surveying in active work zones, such as roadways and airports, or for elevated structures like bridges, buildings, and material stockpiles. Lamb-Star employs multiple scanning technologies, from stand-alone units to aerial and GPS-integrated systems.
Our Laser Scanning Services Include:
- Archaeology
- Forensic Analysis
- Historical Preservation
- Fabrication
- Airport Infrastructure
- Plant Facilities
- Architecture
- Power & Energy
- Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Transportation
- Subsurface Features
Aerial / Mobile Mapping
Aerial and Mobile Mapping involves LiDAR and Photogrammetry from non-stationary platforms to create seamless Digital Terrain Models (DTMs) and orthophotographic imagery. Using UAVs (drones), vehicle-mounted equipment, and both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, we capture extensive LiDAR and ortho-rectified imagery to produce large-scale topographic and planimetric surveys. These technologies enhance project value without compromising safety or schedule.
Our Aerial / Mobile Mapping Services Include:
- Roadways
- Bridges
- Small & Large Site Topography
- 3D Modeling/Historical Preservation
- As-Built Facilities
- GIS Mapping
- Construction Monitoring
- Building / Tower Inspections
- Search & Rescue
